Biotechnology 3 Gr 5-8
This course is the follow on from Biotechnology 1 & 2 and focuses on PCR Basics, Microbiology Basics: Making plates, streaking bacteria, Natural Products Drug Discovery: Using plant products to see if there are antibacterial or anti fungal properties, CRISPR basics, Transformation: gene manipulation, making a bacteria express green fluorescent protein. This course is suitable for students who have already taken last year’s sequence in biotechnology and cell biology (Biotechy 1).
